Abbotsford Airport is the largest in the Fraser Valley. In the region it is second only to Vancouver International Airport.

This airport is home to the Abbotsford Air Show, one of the main such events in the world. There is a public and a commercial/military component to this show, making it one of the biggest attractions in the Lower Mainland (held every two years in the beginning of August) drawing aviation professionals and enthusiasts from around the world.

Also on the grounds of the airport is the Tradex exhibition centre. This location is used throughout the year for many consumer, special interest and commercial trade fairs, exhibitions and events.
