Often a reference is made to a place or town ringed by mountains. Hope BC is a place that qualifies for having that description. This page provides not only a sense of Hope itself but also of the intimate relationship it has with the surrounding landscape. This is where the Fraser Canyon becomes the Fraser Valley. Whatever the means of transportation, water, rail or road Hope has always played a role and continues to do so.
